How to Cancel Notion Subscription & Request Refunds

Workspace Owner Role Required
Only users designated as Workspace Owners can change subscription tiers or cancel billing. Regular members and guests cannot modify billing settings.
Step-by-Step Cancellation
Open Billing Settings
Sign in as a Workspace Owner and open notion.so/settings/billing.
Select Change Plan
Scroll to your current plan and click Change plan (or Manage plan).
Downgrade to Free
Select the Free Plan option and confirm the downgrade. Your workspace retains Plus features until the current billing cycle expires, after which it drops to the free tier without future renewals.

Notion adheres to the Notion Terms of Service - Refund Policy:
- Annual Subscriptions: If you are charged for an annual renewal and reach out within 72 hours of the charge, Notion customer support generally honors a full refund.
- Accidental Member Additions: If an unintended team member was invited, Notion Support can often adjust or credit the prorated invoice upon review if reported promptly.
- Statutory 14-Day Right (EU / UK): Users residing in the EU or UK are legally entitled to cancel and receive a full refund within 14 days of initial purchase.
