How to Check Notion Subscription & Seat Allocation

Guide to checking your active Notion plan, renewal cycle, member seat counts, and separate Notion AI add-on status.

Before modifying subscriptions, ensure you are inspecting the correct workspace and identifying all independent add-on charges.

1. Verifying Workspace Plan & Billing Dates

Select the Target Workspace

Log in to notion.so. Click your workspace name in the upper-left corner of the sidebar and select the workspace you wish to audit.

Open Billing Settings

Navigate directly to notion.so/settings/billing (or click Settings in the left sidebar > Billing).

Inspect Subscription Details

Review the following:

  • Base Plan: Plus, Business, or Free.
  • Add-on Services: Check whether Notion AI is listed as an active recurring add-on.
  • Next Renewal Date: Scheduled charge timestamp.
  • Invoices: View and download official PDF tax invoices under Invoices & receipts.

2. Auditing Billable Member Seats

Unexpected invoice price hikes are usually caused by accidental seat additions.

Audit the User List

  • Members: Every user listed in this tab incurs a monthly seat license.
  • Guests: Users listed under the Guests tab can view and edit shared pages without incurring seat charges.

3. Mobile In-App Purchase Subscriptions

If your Notion workspace was upgraded via an iOS or Android device:
