How to Check Cursor Subscription & Usage Limits
Check your Cursor Pro/Business plan, next billing date, fast request quotas, and invoice receipts using direct links.
Cursor subscriptions are managed centrally via web dashboards rather than within the desktop editor.
1. Verifying Plan & Next Billing Date
Open the Settings Dashboard
Sign in and navigate directly to cursor.com/settings.
Inspect the Billing Section Scroll to the Billing section: - **Current
Plan**: Pro, Business, or Hobby. - Card Status: The card on file for recurring debits.
Access the Hosted Stripe Billing Portal
Click Manage Subscription on the billing card, or navigate directly to the customer portal via cursor.com/dashboard/billing (or cursor.com/settings). Here you can review:
- Next Invoice Date: The exact date when the next charge is scheduled.
- Invoice Receipts: Official downloadable tax receipts.
2. Checking Fast Requests & Real-Time Usage
Included quotas (such as 500 Fast Requests on Pro) reset on your billing renewal date, not on the first day of the calendar month.
Navigate to Usage Overview
Go directly to cursor.com/settings and locate the Usage card.
Audit Your Monthly Quotas
- Fast Requests: Shows current consumption against your limit (e.g.,
180 / 500). - Slow Requests: Unlimited background queries executed once fast quotas are exhausted.
- Usage-based Pricing: Displays accrued on-demand fees if you have optional overage charges enabled.
3. Resolving Token / IDE Status Sync Issues
IDE Shows Free/Hobby While Web Shows Pro?
If your desktop application fails to recognize your paid plan: 1. Open Cursor
IDE, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + P and search for Cursor: Log Out. 2. Visit
cursor.com/settings to verify your login
method (GitHub SSO vs. Google OAuth vs. Email). 3. Log back in to the editor
using the matching credentials, then run Cursor: Attempt to re-fetch plan
token.
