Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SubChk ("we", "us", or "our") operates subchk.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the site and the service.

We never store the contents of your emails. We only extract subscription information (service name, amount, renewal date) and discard the original email text immediately.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

Email address, hashed password, name, preferences, timezone, and the language you choose.

2.2 Gmail Data

When you authorize Gmail, we request read-only access to scan invoice and subscription emails. We extract structured subscription fields from those emails. Email contents are processed in memory and discarded. They are never stored.

2.3 Subscription Data

Service names, plans, amounts, renewal dates, usage metrics, and categories that you enter or that we detect.

2.4 Usage Data

Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL, collected to operate and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Data

• •To provide and improve subscription tracking, renewal alerts, and parsing.
• •To send product email you opted into, including welcome, scan results, and renewal reminders, in your saved language.
• •To authenticate your account and Gmail access.
• •To debug issues with aggregated data.
• •To detect fraud and abuse.

4. Data Retention

We keep account data while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Subscription records may be kept for 24 months after deletion for historical reporting. Gmail message contents are not retained.

To delete your account and associated data, email privacy@subchk.com from your account email. Deletion is permanent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only in these cases:

• •Service providers: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), Google (OAuth, Gmail API, Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics).
• •Legal compliance: when required by law or a valid legal process.
• •Business transfer: if we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, data may transfer with that transaction.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and row-level security so each account only sees its own rows. Email contents are not stored.

No system is perfectly secure. Report vulnerabilities to security@subchk.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or to opt out of email.

8. Cookies

We use cookies for the sign-in session and for product analytics. You can block cookies in the browser; some features will stop working.

Policy Changes
