How to Check ChatGPT Subscription & Billing Status
Verify your ChatGPT Plus/Pro plan, renewal timestamp, payment processor, and invoice history using direct links.
Before modifying or canceling a plan, you must verify which payment provider processes your billing and the exact renewal cutoff date.
1. Web Billing Verification (Stripe)
Open Account Settings Directly
Sign in and navigate directly to chatgpt.com/settings/account (or open chatgpt.com/settings/general-settings and select the Account tab).
Check Your Current Plan Under the Account section, look at your plan
details: - Web-managed plan: A Manage button is visible next to your tier name. - In-app mobile plan: A notice indicates "Subscription managed through Apple/Google".
Open the Hosted Stripe Billing Portal
Click Manage or go directly to the direct bypass link at chatgpt.com/account/manage. This secure Stripe portal displays:
- Next Renewal Date: The scheduled billing date and exact recurring amount.
- Card on File: Card brand, last 4 digits, and expiration date.
- Invoice History: View and download official tax-compliant PDF receipts.
2. In-App Mobile Subscriptions
If you upgraded inside a mobile application, Web settings cannot modify your payment methods or renewals:
- Apple App Store (iOS): Open your subscriptions directly at Apple ID Subscriptions (apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) or consult the Apple Subscription Support Guide.
- Google Play Store (Android): Manage your recurring plans at Google Play Subscriptions (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).
