ChatGPT Plus and Pro renew automatically. This guide shows how to check your current plan, cancel before the next billing date, and optionally track OpenAI billing emails with SubChk.

Steps below reflect OpenAI’s account UI as of early 2026. Labels can move; if something looks different, use OpenAI’s in-app help or help.openai.com.

1. Sign in at chatgpt.com with the account that pays for Plus/Pro.
2. Open your profile (bottom-left or account menu) → Settings → Account / Subscription (wording varies).
3. Note:
   • Current plan (Free, Plus, Pro, Team, etc.)
   • Next billing / renewal date
   • Payment method (card, App Store / Google Play, etc.)

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, manage and cancel in that store — not only on the OpenAI website.

• iOS / Mac App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ChatGPT / OpenAI → Cancel.
• Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ChatGPT → Cancel.

1. Go to chatgpt.com → profile → Settings → Account / Subscription.
2. Choose Manage / Cancel plan (or similar).
3. Confirm cancellation. You typically keep access until the end of the paid period.
4. Reload the subscription page and confirm the plan shows as canceled / ending on the renewal date.

• Billing receipts and renewal notices usually go to the email on your OpenAI account.
